For Test Results please call 01935 434000 between 12pm and 2pm.
You need to telephone the Medical Centre (between 12pm and 2pm) for the results of any tests that you may have had done. Most blood results are available five working days after the test has been taken (but they may be longer); on average it takes up to 14 working days to receive x-ray results or other correspondence from the hospital after an out-patient attendance. If you do wish to discuss the outcome of a hospital appointment, contact the Receptionist in the first instance to ensure we have received the correspondence. Our Receptionists are permitted to give normal results over the telephone but only to the patient concerned. When Receptionists insist on this, they are acting on instructions and observing confidentiality, they are not just being awkward.
Specimens are collected from the Medical Centre each weekday. If you have been asked to bring in a specimen, please ensure that they are at the Medical Centre by 11.30am; and that they are contained in a watertight container and clearly marked with your full name and your date of birth. Please leave your specimen with a Receptionist. Leaking or unmarked specimens will not be processed.
